Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role. Tolman was cast in the role of a guest on two episodes in the role of romance novelist Abby Berman on The Mindy Show the following year. In 2015, her supporting role was in Michael Dougherty's film, horror-film Krampus. Tolman turned down several roles in supporting characters including best friends spouses, and mothers after her first big role on Fargo. She was looking for a unique role. Tolman played a character on ABC on Downward Dog (based on Animal Media Group's web-based series). The show ended after one season. Tolman was a Twitter user, said that she earned "pretty remarkable" ratings on the ABC drama Emergence. The drama premiered September of 2019, however, it was cancelled after one season ending on May 21, 2020. The actress was also an guest on the show on NBC called Good Girls. She was Alma Filcott in season two of Why Women Kill. Natalie Green was a part of Live on Front of a Studio Audience 3.
